Pros

Good people in the company. Hours range 7AM-5PM

Cons

Turn-over is extremely high. Ask the owner how many people have worked over (1) year; if he is saying more than (3), he is lying. Walk around the office and verify for yourself. Employment is generally 2-6 months before you're fired. Benefits don't kick in until 90 days, so he can easily let you go. He can't afford overhead and will pursue jobs in far locations only to lay you off after the project is over. Cant land private work. Employees are not valued. Owner is cheap when it comes to supplies. Don't ever ask for supplies or he will think you're wasting his money. Doesn't allow talking in the workplace. Many people won't leave the office for lunch, because of the judgement. Owner is very opinionated and judgmental

Pros

I was far enough from the office that they wouldn't bother me Project engineers and Project coordinator were FANTASTIC (Both working for other companies now)

Cons

A little back story... Started the project in the middle of the pandemic so procurement was an issue right at the start so the unrealistic schedule was already shot. Nevertheless things went smoothly but had to work 6 or 7 day weeks with no let up....no big deal because in this industry it's the nature of the beast but a little appreciation would be nice (Especially since I was a salary worker) but still we were behind schedule and subs were complaining that they weren't getting paid or behind in the monthly draw So then the owner decides he's gonna start making site visits, The first site visit he makes he acted like a total child throwing a fit, in fact, he even threw his hardhat and cursed out the client! He lit up the plumbing foreman so bad that he actually quit then went on to berate every trade on the job (This totally motivates people to want to work for you doesn't it?) Trades wouldn't even answer my phone calls and when they did it was...Call me AFTER I get paid! (Try keeping a schedule after that!) That's when the morning phone calls started! Every morning from 6 to 7 am I'd get a phone call with him on the other end screaming and berating me...it got so bad that I refused to answer them at all! Well he wouldn't have that so I was immediately laid off just in time for the holiday season (Merry Christmas to me!) All I can say is BEWARE! and Thank You for laying me off!
