Pros
The working level people are the ones that really make the company, they are hardworking, on task and are the ones that move things along.
Cons
The upper management is what has failed HTC. They filled their senior leadership with people that supported each other, rather than with ability. The US President has no ability to do marketing, but he put himself the Global Head of Sales and Marketing and failed spectacularly, leading to a whole floor of followers to be let go. HTC now flounders with mediocre upper management who were promoted much too early in their careers and are full of ego. There are pet project de jour, nothing is ever one with the ability to continue it past a quarter. HTC is simply a mess and their fall from #1 in the US (smartphones) to #4 is the result.
