Pros
Relatively good pay, intelligent coworkers. Benefits above average; comparable to most companies.
Cons
The cons of this company (rather, this specific Oakland office) outweigh the one or two pros listed. The management is unbelievably biased and incompetent ranging from the project managers to the business managers. The favoring of specific employees is blatant. They tell you to ask questions when needed but talk you down (condescendingly) for asking them. It’s a revolving door type scheme. Aside from bias, there is no leniency. Every hour of every day that you work is monitored, and if there is a discrepancy (leaving an hour or two early for personal reasons) you will be questioned even if management has been informed. PTO is hard to get approved and if you’re sick, they question that too. The software is outdated, bland, slow, and glitchy. Aside from autocad, the software across all departments is slow and laughable. Backbiting is a thing here (again, office specific) and you’ll know about it because you’ll be confronted. Any deficiencies in the job must be your fault alone, and not the fault of the office that approved everything that is in a different time zone (Kansas City)
