Wasteful, no oversight, management is clueless. - Software Developer HDL Employee Review

I worked as a contractor for a year. The salary was great, but (I kid you not) I didn't work much at all. I was paid to surf the internet and read books. No one oversaw me. I tried dozens of times to get my rep to explain I had nothing to do, but he was getting paid whether I worked or not and said nothing. After a year of being paid to do nothing, I terminated my own contract. I was prohibited by contract from saying anything. There were dozens of us who were paid to do nothing. The company is incredibly wasteful. There is little oversight of duties. While you might think doing nothing and getting paid for it is a cushy job, you'd be wrong. I used my time to develop other skills, which I use now in a real job.
