Pros
The company provides decent benefits and a salary that is mildly competitive. There are good honest people to work. Decent place to keep your head down and stay quiet and loyal.
Cons
. . .where to start. First, the company AND its owners have been charged with felonies -- fraud and bribery. Be very careful. If the company survives it will look nothing like it does now. There is zero room for advancement. Top spots are set aside for former employees of city and state agencies. They are paid fantastic amounts of money for their connections, but have little practical knowledge. They also have no interest in helping out the junior staff. The culture is not friendly to women. There are no women in senior positions. Their paternalistic, man-splaining style keeps junior women on the sidelines. The culture is very secretive and insular. If you aren't part of the family and the inner circle, you are the 'other.' The inner circle will work against you and use back channels to undermine you.
