Pros
As a current employee of Guru Systems at a senior level, I have found this company to be one of the best places to work in my career. 8 years here speaks for itself really! From my first few years starting as a Systems Support Analyst working my way up to becoming Site Delivery Manager in charge of line managing a team, the opportunities to grow as a person and as a leader within Guru are second to none. The company is dedicated to internal development and company culture, as an example, I have Prince 2, ITIL Foundation and ITIL Service Operation qualifications because of Guru. Everybody has a voice here, and each and every one of them is heard. The policies are fair, the management is fair and the outcomes are always right for the moment. Guru has a key focus on mental health and wellbeing and is really supportive if you need flexible working, time to do life things and are fair in their approach. We have quarterly events so the team gets to bond (although throughout this difficult time, we have been unable to do these quarterly events due to restrictions) Every day brings new challenges, and the motivation within the company is shared throughout every employee, and the drive for success is felt by everyone. Right now, I couldn’t imagine myself being anywhere else, and over the last 8 years, I have found myself becoming more passionate about what we do as a company, adding our bit to drive down carbon consumption on heat networks, bring smarter technology to a market where controls and requirements are only just starting to appear, and ultimately at the bottom line this all benefits the end-users where our product is installed. Watching this company grow has been a pleasure and being a part of this bigger picture has been very rewarding. Over the years the people I have seen come and go have all played a part in some way, in helping grow this company for it to be where it is now.
