Pros
- Guild truly cares about students. As a double bottom line company, it is true, of course, that there is a focus on ensuring that we are efficient, developing strong partnerships, and focused on increasing profit. That said, Guild does not let their financial goals lead to the sacrifice of service for our students. Leadership is focusing on enabling our coaches and other student-facing team members to have the skills they need to best serve students. - The people! Most everyone I have connected with at Guild truly believes in the mission. Guild employees want to work for an organization that is focused on serving students in a meaningful way. It creates such a strong culture where everyone is doing the hard work they need to in building a company that is focused on doing good. - Upward mobility. Having had the opportunity to advance my career at Guild, I can attest that it is not easy. That said, it is absolutely possible. It is important to name that I am not necessarily where I want to be in my career for the long term, however, I know that I can trust my manager and our leader to help equip me with the skills to be qualified for future growth. -Investment in employees. Guild has a strong belief in ensuring that while we serve students in advancing their education, employees should also have access to opportunities. They offer a comprehensive education benefit often allowing team members to advance their education at no cost.
Cons
- Guild has grown quickly, and it feels like some of the culture has shifted from being communal / problem solving / friendly to more of an underproductive, competitive culture. - Lack of transparency about Guild's future
