Pros

Prior to closing the San Francisco office, the pros of working at Growbots were a strong US presence and culture. The entire US team truly enjoyed working with one another and growing together as a team.

Cons

Upper management is a huge con. Unfortunately, we had to watch the company single handily be run into the ground by our Executives. Our Executive team were unwilling to be transparent in regards to the company health, status & changes that were to come. By wanting to stay a privately held company, they rejected multiple offers to guide Growbots to the next level. The company does not have a future unless they change their vision on what they define 'successful'

We really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and feedback. Our goal as a company is to improve with every chance we get and we will take into consideration every word we hear. However, we want to ensure you that we always tried to be as transparent as possible about the company status. We also put a lot of trust in our people - and this is something that you probably experienced yourself. We wish you all the best with your future projects.

Pros

Growbots had an amazing pool of talented people. The success that Growbots has achieved in the past 12 months is due to the people more than the product, in my opinion.

Cons

As with any growing company, Growbots faced numerous challenges that should have been handled differently. It really comes down to the leadership, or lack there of. Despite efforts from the people, in the US at least, advice was not taken and challenges were not addressed until it was too late. On top of that, a lack of transparency from leadership ultimately led to a major lack of trust. And I think at that point, as a team we became invested in each other more than the organization itself. It was our goal to save each other, which it seems was never really possible. To sum it up, there is a lack of experience from the top down, that resulted in actions being more reactive instead of proactive. And in the end a lot of “Corporate Restructuring”.

Thank you for letting us know about your recent employment experience with us. We apologize if your experience did not meet your expectations. Our goal is to provide a stable, enjoyable environment where each member is supported in their growth and where their concerns are addressed. We learn with every difficulty. And we take feedback very seriously. But you have to believe us when we say that we’ve always tried to be as transparent as possible- and you had the chance to experience it during our monthly meetings or on the “ask” channel on Slack. We wish you all the best with your future professional challenges.
