4yThanks for sharing your thoughts with us. We're happy you're enjoying the flexibility and find the work interesting, and also find it important to address your comments on the IMPACT program. At Groupon, we believe that a DEI program must be built upon an organization made up of individuals from various backgrounds, perspectives and experiences, including those who have been historically underrepresented.
We are making the pursuit of Equity a central tenet of our DEI strategy. We recognize the racial gap in education and launched a new DEI programming initiative called IMPACT, aimed at delivering equity through education by creating opportunities for underrepresented and under-supported communities.
This initiative was inspired, in part, by the Juneteenth Independence Day holiday and the fact that in the community at large, African American/Blacks have been historically underrepresented and disadvantaged in educational or other opportunities for advancement. In the future, we hope to build upon this progress and expand the initiative to include other historically underrepresented communities.
This is just the beginning, we are humble enough to know that our work is never enough and this work will never end. We know we have a lot of work to do and that our global team will benefit as we move to integrate DEI into everything we do at Groupon and nurture a culture here that gives everyone an opportunity to thrive.
