Pros

- Since the new CEO started in November I've felt and seen big improvements and changes to the business around structure and strategy. It's easy to rubber-neck in the cannabis industry because there are so many changes and compliance laws that change regularly and are different by state, but we've gotten into a good groove. - Leadership has been thoughtful and compassionate during these weird Covid times. They've made sure to make mental health resources available and certainly my manager is always willing to talk through things. I feel the same about my peers. It's a tough time and I'm glad to have the extended support system. Greenbits indexes high on a sense of humor, which has become a new necessary for me looking for roles in startups. Between the challenges of startup life and Covid-19, this has been a huge help. I'd mark this as a psychologically safe place to work. - If there's a horse to hitch your cart to, now's the time. Well funded company with runway intersecting with a pivotal moment in legalized cannabis and politics, the dreams and potential of this company are big and those joining should have big ones too.

Cons

- Not necessarily a con, but if you're not used to working at a startup, we've got all those challenges! I like to think this stage of growth (early Series B) is the adolescent stage: growing, discovering, and becoming...all with the growing paints that come with it. Growth mindset required. - no 401K match, but that's to be expected at this stage. - If you're looking for a kushy job to clock in and clock out, this wouldn't be a place I'd pick. There's good balance (lots of people have kids and outside hobbies), but there are weeks where you have to put in more hours and sprint to get the job done. This can be exhausting, but it's part of the job.
