Pros
Met a couple nice people.
Cons
Looking for a work environment where you’re not trusted to do your job or take on responsibility? Then i play. is your place! The entire company suffers from severe Founder’s Syndrome (look it up and this company's logo should be there). The owner has to have an opinion and say on *literally* everything that is done - from packaging to wording, to the way desks are arranged. Due to the allocation of her time, you maybe see and speak with her once a week — thus, you cannot complete anything and are left wondering throughout the insane ‘approval process’. If you don’t worship the ground she walks on and agree with everything she does, you’re out and you won’t last long. So never speak your mind or try to think outside of the box. They are stuck in their ways, format so to speak, and extremely incompetent processes for getting work done...but because the owner cannot come to terms with the fact that she is the reason this happens (formerly mentioned “approval process” for work), nothing ever changes and it is a cyclical, never-ending nightmare of meetings going around and around. It is the “show about nothing”. It is a baby company that gives 6 weeks of maternity leave (most progressive places - as they claim to be - give about 3 months) and this wasn’t enacted until the owner’s daughter became pregnant. Oh, and on that note, family members are allowed to stay and work regardless of ineptitude. Products are not developed with the company’s “principles” in mind, but rather, “When can we get this out the door?” PTO earned is not paid for severance upon termination of employment, on account of either party. Get used to doing work for other people who can’t. The people who don’t work will not be disciplined or talked to, you’ll only get a lecture if you don’t do their tasks. You’ll be accused of not collaborating. The office is full of catty, gossiping women. It’s like a giant table of mean girls. If you’re into that - then good for you. For saying they are as wholesome as they are, they sure do talk about each other and spread drama. I tried to keep out of it all and keep my mouth shut, to which they thought and said I was unhappy. Turns out I was because it was the most toxic, disgusting place I’ve ever worked.
