Pros

Other employees make GC a place to come back to every day. Time off through the year and 7 hour work days, Friday's off in the summer-

Cons

Management is wet behind the ears and not seasoned. Too many huge changes and initiatives for the company piggy backed on the horrible wage compensation for everyone not in upper management is taking its toll on everyone. It has become a place to endure rather than a place to serve well and grow.

Pros

Grayson embraces what it calls "Viking Values" which are a number of high ethical standards. From management to faculty to administrative support, most employees adhere to these values and provide outstanding service to students.

Cons

While compensation is adequate, it is not competitive.

Pros

Coworkers at the peer level are often collaborative, supportive, and genuinely care about students. Serving the local community can feel meaningful and rewarding. Day-to-day work is manageable if you're self-motivated and independent.

Cons

The culture is shaped from the top down, and leadership creates an environment of fear, uncertainty, and distrust. Policies are either vague, inconsistently enforced, or disregarded when convenient, leaving employees without clear guidance. Ethical concerns are hard to ignore — questionable use of public resources and decision-making that seems self-serving rather than student-centered. Innovation and transparency are stifled; voicing concerns often leads to pushback rather than solutions. Employees who thrive on structure, accountability, and ethical leadership will likely feel frustrated or burned out.
