My experience at Gray Matrix has been deeply disappointing and not aligned with basic professional standards. The HR practices appear to be heavily influenced by the mood and preferences of the management team rather than clear policies. There is a constant sense of job insecurity, even when delivering 100% performance. Workplace safety and recognition seem dependent more on personal rapport with management than on actual work quality or contribution. The company culture resembles a closed circle of a few decision-makers, while the rest of the employees feel temporary and undervalued. Despite working on weekends, during illness, and even on vacations, my efforts were dismissed with questions like “What did you do for the company?” — a statement that felt both disrespectful and demotivating. Leadership, particularly at the senior level, appears rigid and unreceptive to feedback or new ideas. Requests for discussions with reporting managers are often avoided or escalated without resolution. During my tenure, I witnessed multiple teams being entirely replaced, which reflects a concerning pattern of high attrition. The organization often speaks about strong values and long-term vision, but the actual treatment of employees contradicts those claims. One of the recurring internal sentiments I encountered was: “If the project succeeds, the manager did a great job. If something goes wrong, the developer is at fault.” “Hire and fire.” Overall, my time here was a difficult learning experience. I am grateful to have moved on, but I sincerely hope the company reassesses its culture and management approach for the sake of its future talent.
