Pros
Finance has a great training program, Granite will train you on Excel, SQL, Power pivot and visual basic. Most companies do not want to spend the time to train you on these skills. These skills are transferable to other roles. If you're talented, you can move up fast. Granite will help pay for grad school. Granite gives out a bunch of bonuses to the whole company. Almost everyone in the company made about 2 grand in company bonuses last year. Accomplishments are recognized, you will get a shout out in a meeting and a gift card if you work on something non-routine. Granite has been very successful and is pivoting to continue to be successful with changes in technology. Company has many sport leagues (Softball, flag football, golf etc.) that are free or heavily discounted. Granite also has volunteer opportunities. Young atmosphere. They will not keep you on contract for a long time, just a period to prove yourself at the beginning. If you don't screw around, you should be fine. Decent spots for lunch and good places to grab a drink after work.
Cons
The pay isn't great. Granite is old school, no working from home, everyone works 8 - 5, takes their lunch at 12, etc. It's not super exciting work... but that's true about most office jobs. Traffic in the area is awful around 8 and 5. Parking is a pain if you're running late. Café is kind of expensive.
