Pros
- proximity to users: as an engineer working on internal tooling/infra it is great that we can get frequent and detailed feedback from our users, furthermore since most of the users also have engineering/research backgrounds the quality of constructive feedback/suggestions and ideas is great. - exciting mission where engineering plays a key role: this is a good place to make impact - engineering culture: we are lucky to be able to utilise a lot of google's infra, processes and engineering practices. Many engineers who work here are ex-googlers too. - good work life balance, nice people.
Cons
there's a lot to do and a lot of opportunity for impact, at times it can be challenging to prioritise or protect the energies and decide which one of the projects to focus on.
