Pros

Since management doesn't actually manage the people, nobody will notice if you take long breaks. Plus, they can't afford to fire you, so even if you do get caught, they won't do anything. And since pretty much everyone gets rated as a 3 on your evaluation, there's no need to perform harder than anyone else. It really won't make a difference.

Cons

If you're an engineer, you won't spend any time doing any legitimate engineering work. If you're a technician, you're going to have to do your job, and the engineer's job. Don't expect support from engineering, since not only do they not know how to run the tools, many don't even know where their tools are located. And if you are dumb or desperate enough to work here, dress light. Even in winter. The average fab temperature is about 10 degrees higher than the industry average. How bad are things here in Malta? HR fills out fake reviews on this site pretending to be technicians saying it's a great place. But in reality, technicians say that GLOBALFOUNDRIES is where hope goes to die.

Pros

Great team in Burlington. Diverse technology portfolio provides endless opportunity to learn.

Cons

Non-revenue support groups have small budgets and are seen as cost-burdens. Raises and promotions are behind the industry.
