This place is a story of why you shouldn't hire a management that does not believe in the values of the company. A ripe example for why people with only corporate experience should not run an NGO. While the organisation has been unlucky with CEOs in the recent past, the latest one is likely going to be the nail in the coffin. They, and their league of recruits with questionable ethics have brought such a toxic culture, that the spirit and purpose of the organisation may have been snuffed out. The questionable practices may have been mildly excusable if they were yielding results, but the lack of qualms is buttressed by an astounding level of incompetence and lack of self awareness. It appears that the only requisite skillset needed is the ability to posture. People in management lack cultural awareness and speak extremely insensitively, with an undertone of condescension. CEO makes you think of an oily car salesman trying to get your buck. Organisation is filled with burned-out employees but management blames it on people who 'do not know how to withstand pressure and were only working for money'. What money? Attrition rate is also extremely high. I am personally hoping for a miraculous positive change in administration, as I truly believe in the potential and the initial intent behind the orgaisation. But knowing how astute the current management is at looking good to stakeholders who do not seem to particularly care, hope is brittle. Please, if you value your career development, self esteem and a healthy culture, this is not a place for you. But if you are a corporate, stone-cold type, you're still a favor away from being dismissed by the fraternity-style management. Yes. I am as frustrated as I come off. You would be too if you had to watch a good cause being sabotaged by corporate sociopaths.
