Pros
Much has been said about the people and the culture here at GivingData but something that isn’t often referenced is the clients. Working with foundations who are funding philanthropy means we get to work with purpose driven organizations on a daily basis who are enabling god’s work. Given the current economic climate and business conditions in corporate America right now at this particular time we are insulated from all the negative noise and uncertainty. The clients who we serve at foundations are some of the most genuine and passionate and nice people I’ve had the privilege to work and partner with over the course of my career.
Cons
Like any startup environment there are operational challenges that exist either due to resource constraints or lack of process. However the leadership team is open to working to address these issues head on as they arise and are open to whatever changes the company needs in order to support its growth trajectory. So in essence the only real negative is actually a positive in the end.
