Pros
My boss will answer all of my questions, people work hard around you, pay and incentives good.
Cons
Only managers and above can use a laptop-- I am glued to my my chair and desk at the office all day, everyday and it drives me crazy. The entire sales team is solely numbers driven and I find it soul-less and at times slimy, especially given that some of the sales tactics are ones that people don't even realize are dishonest or immoral. I should have known there was a red flag when they asked me to leave my previous job 2 weeks earlier than my commitment in order to make their start date for training. Never let anyone talk you out of your commitments. There is no shuttle from Caltrain. CEO's words on this was, "Google didn't have those buses before their IPO!" but the office is on the other side of town from the station.... Kitchen is stocked but 3/4 is crap-- Cheez-its, Goldfish, Crackers, Candy Office dress is declared casual, yet HR representative sent around email chastising the Sales team for personal appearance. My biggest problem with this is that it seems to be a money hungry organization. Parts of the business that deal with customer relationships, client services, and tech support are secluded from those of us that are supposed to sell the product. Only way to get promoted to a side of the business that I'd rather be on is to become a top performer as a Sales Rep-- strategies of which go directly against my moral grain.
