Pros

This is hands down one of the most exciting roles I’ve had. Selling GigFinesse doesn’t feel like pushing a product. It feels like sharing a solution that just makes sense. The platform works, the value is obvious, and venues actually want to talk to us. That’s rare. You get to pitch something that improves people’s lives on both sides of the marketplace, helping venues run better shows and artists get more gigs. The energy here is real. You’re surrounded by passionate, mission driven people who want to build something lasting, and every day feels like progress. It’s fast paced but in the best way, like you’re part of something that’s really taking off.

Pros

GigFinesse is one of those rare startups where the product actually sells itself, but leadership still empowers the sales team to be entrepreneurial and creative in how we go to market. The support is strong, the culture is fast-paced but collaborative, and there’s a real sense of ownership across the board. You’re surrounded by driven, talented people who genuinely care about building something special in the live entertainment and hospitality space. The company is growing quickly, and it’s exciting to be part of a team that’s not just hitting numbers but redefining how venues and artists connect. Commission structure is competitive, wins are celebrated, and leadership is approachable and transparent.

Cons

Like any early stage startup, things move fast and priorities can shift, but that’s part of the excitement. It’s not for someone looking to coast.

Pros

Fortunately, my role gave me a lot of insight into brand identity and was flexible enough to allow me to expand creatively.

Cons

You will get nothing from putting in extra work. You will be sorely underpaid. The CEO, instead of investing in his employees, brand, or literally anything that makes sense, will instead spend company money on pointless goods and act with extreme frugality towards anything beneficial, obvious to anybody but himself. You will be met with empty promises of moving up within the company, and if you get on any upper management's "bad side", you won't know it until you are told you won't be needed anymore. The CEO is delusional and ego driven, and mark my words, this company's downfall will be nobody's fault but his. You may be very talented, and they're great at scouting fantastic people (your coworkers are the best thing about it), but it will be wasted and exchanged for something new and shiny eventually and the CEO won't even be there to tell you you're being laid off. This company is too weak, too cowardice to become the industry behemoth it has the potential to be, and as long as the CEO is sitting in that chair, it is a ticking time bomb.
