Pros
Dog Friendly and plenty of hard working, genuine and kind people work here. Met some cool peeps that helped me grow a bit outside of work.
Cons
-- Frequent and terrible micromanagement. -- Zero communication. If there is, it's confusing and leads to ton of conflict internally and with customers. -- The owner makes impulsive and problematic decisions that halts the company's growth, which also makes work more difficult in the call center. The Directors of the call center makes a toxic work environment by playing favorites, assigning pointless tasks and always sits on their hands when it comes to real issues in the workplace. -- If you call in sick or take days off, expect to be spoken about negatively and looked at differently. They put on a facade about taking care of their employees but if you get sick or burned out for serious reasons or emergencies, they see you as a problem. So because of this, many people came in sick or in rough shape in order to please management. Incredibly unhealthy environment. Got laid off at the beginning of the year. I worked incredibly hard during the holiday period and was rewarded by losing my job. Everything I did meant nothing and the company lied to me. The best part was the two people responsible for my release didn't have the courtesy or the respect to tell me to my face. This is not the company for you. This is not a healthy work environment and the people running the show have little to no respect for those that put them there in the first place. Times are tough for all of us but take it from me, you deserve better than GiftTree.
