Our side of the story is considerably different. Problems with this employee began when this person began to sing at her desk and was asked not to sing in the office. Immediately and continually, her attitude was negative towards everyone in the office and crossed the line into hostility.
Her understanding of our business was flawed from the beginning and remained flawed because of her inability to communicate with management and coworkers.
Bonus plan was discretionary and our policy is clearly spelled out as to an employees status to quality.
This employee was terminated for failure to report. She missed work, never reported off, and ignored our requests to contact us and clarify her status.
