Pros

If there was one, I’d put it here but there isn’t. It used to be people and work life balance. This has been long gone and the good people were smart enough to leave for other companies already.

Cons

Career growth is minimal and most are dependent on other people quitting. A lot of promotions happen this way and when you get it, you usually get 2.5 additional FT employee roles so you’re going to get swamped. There’s also no leadership support when this happens. WorkLife balance is terrible too. For the most part, it’s what you make of it but there is much work as said above that you never find time to cool off or even finding the time to actually use your PTO. In fact, so many people had PTO hours maxed out, the company saw it as a liability to themselves and forced employees to use our hours and when we quit or get laid off, we no longer can cash out the hours. Compensation is mediocre at best. They can’t pay a competitive livable wage for the area when MSFT is in the area, but somehow you’re doing so much work with so many responsibilities and get paid in bananas. Directors in this company make about $130k, sr managers make about $110k and managers make $98k compared to local managers who make $120-$130, and directors getting 200k+. In addition, there’s no sign-on bonus, no stocks, crappy PTO, 3% bonus if we even get it that year. The annual raise is about 1%. Culture? None. The only culture we have is toxic. The company rules by fear. No one is directly honest with each other for the fear of self exposing and retaliation. Everything is a lie. Everyone is miserable so if you want to be miserable then you can join. Management is the worst. Since 2019, the company has really ranked with almost all new executives. The ones that are left that have been there for nearly 20 years are now on the bottoms of the food chain trying to survive and save a few team members from misery. The new executives are tyrants and again they rule by fear and manipulation. They will give you false promises because they don't know how else to slow down attrition. They’ll lie to you so that you can’t trust your long-time team members. Fear-mongering propaganda is rampant. Overall: try this company if you dare want to ruin your career. I promise you I’m not exaggerating and I promise you everything I’ve said is true and am out for your best interest. Side note: HR will not fight for you if upper management is breaking the law. They will try to cover up everything and find ways to put the fault on you. Seen this years and years over and over again. Don’t even know why I stayed so long. Diversity and Inclusion is a complete joke. It's all lip service so don't believe a thing they say. Just like the above, everything leadership says is a like or not genuine. During the BLM, they tried to get surveys and forced everyone to do training. It was visible for about 2 months and then it all disappeared.
