Wide range of technologies to get your hands on and learn about in a friendly atmosphere...everyone pitches in to help if you come unstuck or need help

Cons

A *lot* of different environments and clients doing their own thing which often doesn't make sense. Quite a challenge

Pros

They have a really wide range of systems that they look after, so there is always something learn. The benefits are great for a small company, fully paid health insurance, no employee contribution.

Cons

It is a bit overwhelming at first because of all the different environments, OS variants, and automation that they have built. Some of the HR tools and resources are a bit primitive because company is small no fulltime HR person.

Pros

Consistent work, good perks, friendly environment. Always something to do. Employees are provided everything they need after all it is a tech company.

Cons

Poor management employee communication. Overall inconsistent handling of internal and client situations. customer requests are all handeled differently and thus not efficiently. A lot of time spent on little things, no business processes. Management and co-worker interaction can be condescending and passive-aggressive.

GNS is a small but growing company and we are continuing to develop our business practices. We brought on a client relationship manager in February 2016 to help with this process. He has scheduled one on one meetings with all of our 150+ clients. We do spend a lot of time on "the little things" but that is what our clients want. We are selling a boutique service to Hedge Fund managers who want and need one-on-one hand holding and services. Our service delivery is personalized to each client. It takes a little longer, but our clients tell us they appreciate it and we will keep doing it. Both partners work day to day on managing the business, and our doors are always open. Many staff members come and speak to us on an informal basis, some of our best ideas and changes have come from these interactions. We do have a very in-depth employee review process that we go through once a year with each employee. We encourage everyone take this process seriously and help "manage up" by letting us know their feelings and ideas for making GNS better. Every employee in their review meets with the senior partner of the company for over an hour and goes through our very comprehensive evaluation checklist.
