Pros
Gained great experience - although painful at many times. 9/80 schedule.
Cons
employee moral is very poor. Very little meaningful training. No mentoring. Job was learned via baptism by fire. Upper management out of touch with issues that could easily be fixed if they became more involved. Too many metrics that were often gamed to make them look good to the customer. OT paid only to certain groups of employees at $25,00 per hour - usually less than what any one employee made per hour. Lots of red tape! Good ole' boy environment. Very little flexibility in work schedule. GDLS flex time is not the flex time that other companies offer. If you take an hour of personal time, you are expected to make it up!
