Pros
Interesting science, some good people that are taken advantage of.
Cons
MANY: -To start out, do not expect any sort of warm welcome or onboarding when you start here. There is absolutely NO introduction to the company and you will feel like an outsider immediately. -No direction given on what you should be doing or focusing on, poorly communicated expectations and absolutely ZERO support or teaching if you are not doing what they expect of you. -No performance review, if they dont like you after your "lockdown" 90 day probation period, thats it...gone. -Management does not manage, just set up to fail. No one has your back and very uninterested in your success. -Meager PTO and health insurance that does not start until 3 months into your probation...This should be a red flag from the start. -3rd party HR department (do not even care about employees enough to have an inhouse advocate) that you can expect nothing but problems from: incorrect payrate, incorrect taxes withheld, PTO issues, health insurance issues---and dont expect anyone to respond to your issues in any sort of timely manner. -Terrible parking situation, no employee lot or designated parking---plan to either pay out-of-pocket for a pass or feed a meter for your entire shift, its like they dont even want to make it easy for you to commute there. -Leadership is conducted on the basis of a combination of fear and indifference. -Not family friendly, dont even think about a work-life balance. It is clear there is a preference for cheap labor from students or younger employees without family obligations. -No established training program and no one will take the time to teach you properly. -No personal space or office space, a shared "office" where you must share a computer with many people, if you are not one of the veteran employees with their own computer they have claimed. -Newer employees are in a constant state of not knowing what is going on---communication is very poor with newer employees. -You will be kept in the dark about most things, it will nearly impossible to accomplish goals set by management because 1) You dont know what those goals are. 2)You do not know if you are meeting those goals in any way. 3)You are not given the tools to accomplish those goals.
