Pros
- Sites are relatively easy, alarm response, concierge, gatehouse work. Very easy security work.
- People are usually nice, you sometimes get snakes and people who hate you. But the people are usually good and chill, trying to get by.
- It's a easy way to get experience in security.
- Sites are close to you if you live in GTA or Aurora, Vaughan, King City. Also some northern work.
-They do alarm response for the schools in Peel, always looking for guys and the shift work is easy. You will do 8 schools or so in a shift in 8 hours, very easy money alot of driving though (only bad if you suck or hate driving).
- Dave the operations manager is a great guy he will always help you out, also Chris in supervising and GT.
- Handcuff and baton training twice (?) a year for people past probation
Cons
- They have a history of messing up pay cheques.
- They have trouble dealing with complaints on guards, usually ignore because if they ice the guy you are having a problem about they have to find a replacement. Better to switch sites.
- HR and scheduling administers are relatively new and have no experience in the security industry.
- No room for growth, you can be a mobile supervisor or Alarm response and you will still make 12$ Canadian.
- They will always call you trying to fill sites, the scheduling manager will wait to the last minute to ask for help.
- You won't make over time they schedule so you work under over time (88 hrs every 2 weeks)
- Probation is 6 months rather than 3.
- No union.
- Generally corporate is unorganized.
