Thank you for your feedback. We are continually looking for ways to improve and I value your input. It’s nice to hear that you feel like we have an overall positive work environment.
I am sorry that you feel like the management structure is lacking and that the success of our employees’ careers is not a priority for the company. We certainly aren’t perfect, but we work hard to create an environment that encourages growth and employee development. We have put an emphasis on career and professional growth by developing our managers, offering a Professional Development Program, and giving each employee the tools they need to be successful. We focused on building a strong management layer and launched a company-wide Manager Training Program to ensure our managers are successful leading and developing their teams. This past year saw internal mobility for over 40% of our employees.
As you mention, there are tons of new faces at Gather as we are going through a period of hyper-growth. With growth comes change, and while there is always room to improve how we manage change in a few areas, we encourage employees and managers to have open and honest conversations regarding expectations and performance. I would encourage you to set up a time to speak with your manager, me, or any member of People Ops if you still have concerns, as our doors are always open and we are here to support!
