Pros

There are a handful of smart, talented, and genuinely good people still left. Opportunity to work with industry-leading technology.

Cons

Lack of Structure & Accountability – There are no clear processes, and expectations vary wildly between departments, leading to confusion and animosity. No one takes accountability for issues. Lack of Direction – Decision-making is slow, and leadership seems afraid to make tough choices or take any risks. As a result, the company remains stagnant and refuses to implement the necessary changes to improve. Superficial Perks Instead of Real Change – Leadership attempts to cover up deep-rooted company flaws with pizza parties, rather than making meaningful improvements that enhance employees' work and home lives. Poor Employee Retention & Transparency – When employees resign (even on good terms), they are immediately cut off from the company, and remaining employees are not given honest communication about why they left. Leadership does nothing to retain top talent or address the reasons for turnover.

We are certainly saddened when we see this type of input from a former employee. For 30 plus years we've been a very successful company with a strong entrepreneurial culture, and with that certainly comes a level of adaptability. If constant direction and structure is what one is looking for we may not be quite the right fit. In Q1 of this year we had five individuals receive promotions or career progressions, which accounts for about 10% of the entire population. It is true - and has been the norm for much of the companies existence - that when a person has access to sensitive data and may be moving to a competitor or similar situation their access to that sensitive data is cut off; I don't believe that is secretive or abnormal in many industries and companies. As our employee engagement team continues to meet, they will certainly take this feedback into account

Pros

Supportive and Caring Culture The company fosters a genuinely caring and supportive environment, including upper management. If you work hard and maintain a positive attitude, you’ll find that leadership truly has your back. Opportunities in a Smaller Organization While growth opportunities may vary by department due to the company’s smaller size, the upside is that you're never just a number. With around 60 employees, there are more chances to learn and gain visibility within the organization. In contrast to larger companies I’ve worked at (1,000+ people), I’ve experienced far more growth and skill development here in 6 months than in other companies I've worked for 2+ years. Fun and Engaging Events The company hosts regular happy hours and fun events! These moments bring everyone together and make work feel more enjoyable and connected. Modern, Comfortable Office Space The office is beautifully designed. Modern, cozy, and a genuinely pleasant space to work in. Flexible In-Office Expectations While being in the office regularly is expected, especially during events or when hosting guests, there is flexibility. There’s usually no issue working from home when it's needed. It varies a bit by team, but with good communication, flexibility is absolutely there.

Cons

Training and Onboarding Could Be More Structured The onboarding and training processes could use more organization. If someone were dedicated to owning and improving this area, it has strong potential to become much smoother. Intimidating at First, but Supportive It can feel a bit intimidating starting out, especially when many of your peers have extensive industry experience. That being said, the team is patient and understanding as you ramp up. It’s normal to feel a bit lost at first, especially with the complexity of the software world, but support is there as you learn. CRM Could Use Improvement The CRM system can feel clunky at times, especially with some of the manual logging required. It's not a dealbreaker, but it can slow things down.

Pros

I have been employed at GSC for almost three years, after previously working at a competitive VAR. I’m thrilled that I made the jump three years ago. The opportunities for growth here are vast, and I'm doing things that I never thought I would be involved in this early in my tenure. I've been given the chance to make decisions, lead multiple teams, expand my skill set, and sharpen my existing abilities. In short, I've had the opportunity to grow as a leader by being surrounded by great leaders who invest in me. The culture is excellent; I’m surrounded by colleagues who share a common mission while also understanding that we all have lives outside of work. The team here genuinely cares about one another, which leads to more good days than bad. Collaboration is a priority, making problem-solving even more engaging. Management listens well and takes the time to hear everyone out.

Cons

Being owned by both a parent company and a 'grandparent' company comes with unique challenges. Occasionally, plans for growth and expansion get caught up in bureaucracy and competing visions on how to move forward. However, I don't think this is unique to GSC alone; sometimes, the sheer size of an organization causes changes and adjustments to be drawn out and, at times, stall. Control the controllables, right? Overall, GSC is a great place to work where leadership makes career growth a priority.
