Pros

Staff pretty much come and go as they please. There are supposed to be office hours when everyone is there but it’s not enforced. The employees are all pretty great to work with.

Cons

The CEO, John, is really terrible to work for. He micro manages every department and every position. He is also extremely inappropriate to his female employees. He uses the internal IM system, Slack, to send them inappropriate messages. I wish I had screenshots to report him. People quit so often they hire people without the correct qualifications then fire them or they leave a few weeks in. With people coming and going so often, the few good employees are overloaded with too much work for one part time person to handle. No benefits, no HR, ( they’ll tell you the EVP is HR but she’ll talk about you when you’re not around so you can’t really go to her with anything) no real training. You just get thrown in and ask around until you figure things out. They treat their external contractors even worse than their internal employees. If any of them actually read their contracts they’d see they’re getting jipped. Staff are also trained to lie to clients and independent contractors- when they get caught up in a lie they find someone else to blame or will blame it on a lower level employee.

Pros

GO Destination Services is truly an exceptional company to work for. The culture is incredibly supportive and inclusive. Leadership genuinely cares about employees, not just professionally, but as human beings. I’ve been encouraged to grow, take on new responsibilities, and contribute to meaningful projects. Communication is open, feedback is valued, and wins are celebrated - no matter how big or small.

Cons

Been with the company for years and none that stand out. Every company has areas to improve, but here, suggestions are welcomed and often implemented.

Pros

Will hire anyone, no matter your background or if you speak english. They might be flexible if they like you.

Cons

One time in the middle of talking, John the CEO told me to talk faster. That enough should explain this company. John loves to micromanage and will check in on you frequently, but never offered to help. He also would sneak in and out of the side door of the building so he didn't have to interact with anyone. No one ever knew what they were doing, or had time to get anything done. Everything is an asap project, even if you're already working on an asap project. Most employees are in the Philippines, and you will be reminded frequently that you can be instantly replaced by someone who barely speaks english. They preach diversity and inclusion just for the status and tax break, they don't and will never care an ounce about you. Benefits are non existent. So moral is, if you lack self respect, or are so desperate to not work at a gas station then this company may be for you. Good luck. ps. All of their other positive ratings are clearly made by management to help boost their scores, don't be fooled. You're smarter than this job I promise.
