Pros

Very organized landscape architecture firm with high quality design principles. I worked in the DC office as an entry-level designer. While it's a small office far away from Seattle, I never felt isolated. There is constant communication and collaboration between the two offices, not only for landscape projects but also for special projects initiated by the various different committees. I was properly trained and mentored. I really enjoyed the office culture. If I didn't have to move to another city, I would have definitely stayed working there for much longer.

Cons

The office is so structured that each person has a very clear set of responsibilities and while it is a good thing in general, sometimes it felt difficult to get involved in different aspects of the profession.

Pros

Wide range of project types, very intelligent and motivated people to collaborate with and learn from. Generally supportive colleagues that have very high standards for themselves and others.

Cons

Can feel more corporate than expected for a medium size office. Projects a friendly, supportive, collaborative culture that isn't always lived up to. Internal scheduling with head decision makers can be frustratingly difficult.
