Pros
Great team work environment, talented managers and experienced director and assistant director of the valuation department. They give you all of the resources and support that you need to do your job and there is much to be learned from speaking directly with business owners and executives in different industries across the US. GE gives its employees flexibility regarding hours worked and offers a great work/life balance.
Cons
Some clients may be difficult to work with due to unrealistic value expectations because of previous communication with the sales side of GE that led to the initial engagement with the valuation department. There is the potential to move over to the deal-making side and eventually to become a managing director, which can be highly rewarding, but there is not much potential for promotion within the valuation department.
