Pros
Strongly performing company in all respects - strong growth trajectory over the past 5 years; strong profits; broad internal ownership (private stock company owned by many staff, not just a few); quality of staff, support of staff, types and diversity of clients, diversity and complexity of project work; excellent office locations, physical office and work environment; striving for diversity (in a not very diverse industry sector); very good overall compensation - double the average industry 401K contribution on top of strong salary and superior benefits.
Cons
Like many firms GEI is learning to integrate millenials into this more traditional industry that has always focused on older experienced project managers. It is making very good progress on this front, but the convergence of very sharp young engineers and scientists within a profession that requires years of experience to be given major responsibilities is a challenge.
