Most management are a complete joke. Many senior marketing management have simply schmoozed their way in without even a basic knowledge of digital or modern marketing techniques. Behind the "Happiness & Community" culture are some much darker forces – I watched one colleague be psychologically harassed into leaving. For myself, my manager simply made up false truths in order to get rid of me – just short of my 2 year anniversary – out of "spite and jealousy" (to quote other members of the marketing team).
