Pros
- Great Work Culture - The Founding team is obsessed about employee & customer experience - Lots of knowledge sharing - you get to know what is happening in product, design, sales, engineering and all other functions as everyone shares updates. Also if you have ideas and feedback it is always taken in a supportive manner - Fun activities are happening frequently and anyone & everyone is open to being trolled. Insider Tip - Never leave your laptop unlocked - Everyone is courteous and respectful. A lot of things are based on trust, that's why any form of harassment or dishonesty is a strict No-No - There is a lot of transparency with weekly updates, all-hands so that everyone knows what is happening in the co. and other functions - A lot more focus is on solving problems rather than finding fault or blame with people for it. - There is also a process of preparing a design doc. for any new feature or idea which forces you to think well and get feedback from others before simply running into action - There is a lot one can get to do & learn if one takes initiative
Cons
Since it's grown at a really fast pace, you may not know everyone well, but then that becomes a shortcoming of any org. that crosses 15-20 people. As a startup, it is growing and evolving, so you need to be flexible. If you want things to be well structured and stick to your job description to the T always, it may not be the best suited place for you.
