1. Toxic Management, they intentionally gaslight you into thinking, that you need to be “better” and that you need to “try harder”, They would never praise you, their main goal is to attack you, so that you feel scared and don’t think critically on what’s really going on.
2. Management is always scared since they are being bullied from above, or at least it’s their perspective. They very afraid of losing jobs, this is why they will push you in very ineffective way by micromanaging you, because they don’t know any better.
3. Open space is the worst, you need to be at least 3 days in the office. Be prepared to buy noise cancellation headphones, although they still cannot protect you from migraines at the end of the day.
4. People cannot work quietly, be prepared to be interrupted every 15 minutes by some simple questions that can be asked in one written sentence.
5. Cyprus(Limassol) is very expensive, try to negotiate highest possible salary, otherwise you will be very disappointed. But, no money worth it, trust me.
6. HR… Do I really need to tell something here…
7. When management tells you, that HR didn’t like something about your behavior (which can be literally any little innocent thing), just try to ignore it. Maybe HR did say something about you, maybe management just lying, I cannot tell for sure. Just be strong and ignore this bs as much as you can.
8. You will be overworking, just because people don’t care about real issues which lead to such inefficiency.
9. Office is located very far from the city. If you don’t have a car, you will be using dedicated shuttle. It takes around 50mins-1 hour (!!) to reach the destination, depends on your location, sure, but still. And you need to be in the office from 9 to 6. So, basically 11 hours per office day is dedicated to the job, which is insane.
10. There is dress code, you cannot wear shorts, which is a nightmare, especially in summertime.
11. Some people are extremely rude, some of them are really freaky individuals, some are homophobic.
So, yeah… I can go on and on, but I guess any sensible human being should be already alarmed at this point. I also can say that the moment when I realized that I don’t need to go to this awful office was such a relief. And yes, all 5 start review are fake all 1 start reviews is the reality.
