Pros
The benefits were great, 5.5 weeks of pto per year was fantastic as well as good health insurance. Some great people to work with.
Cons
You could never take the pto above and were often forced into overtime because people didn't want to come to work. The work life balance is terrible and expect you to come in at the drop of a dime. The pay was absolutely abysmal despite working there for years. The company really doesn't care about it's employees which is unfortunate considering that most of the employees really love their jobs. The lack of communication was another thing that often caused issues in the environment. You could tell some of the employees really didn't care to be there and didn't do their job well. Upper management had no idea of how the facilities function yet seem to think they do. They also made it clear to everyone that they were replaceable despite what they had given to the company. It created a very toxic environment to work in that I thought would get better. It never does despite the statements that change is coming. In my exit interview I went through issues I had with the company & it felt like I was just being completely dismissed. There were several instances of people being promoted where they did not need to be simply because management at that facility did not want to deal with them anymore. It was also a standard for someone new to come in and get paid more than someone who had been there 5-10 years. I had several negative experiences there the most pertinent that I will mention is the amount of blatant disrespect from upper management. They accuse people of not doing their job with no evidence about it & then reward the ones that are actually making it more difficult. If I went through all the details of things I had seen over the years it would make it completely obvious to them who I am so I would prefer not to do so. I will leave on a note that there were a large number of instances with things being swept under the rug where I was located. I would strongly reconsider working here if you have even the slightest desire to be happy or pay your bills.
