Over pay employees and opportunities to work from home

Cons

No matter how much they offer you, this place is not worth it. Management does not invest or respect employees. They’re a bunch of indecisive bullies who put lower level employees in the middle of their mess and throw them under the bus when direction is misinterpreted due to lack of communication from supervisors and executives. No matter how remedial the task, it will be micromanaged every step of the way. There is no hierarchy within departments so I often found myself doing other people’s jobs, yet received no recognition. Turn over is very high and positions are not quickly filled (if they’re even filled at all depending on the department) causing teams to struggle.

Pros

Good salary, good benefits, a fun industry to work in, half day Fridays during the summer, discounts on all QVC Group brands

Cons

Everyone is overworked and open positions are often eliminated/not filled which results in even more work expected from those who stay. If you express concern about workload, you will be gaslit by a “we ALL have to work hard for the sake of the business” statement and your concerns will be dismissed. No growth or promotions, the excuse will always be “when business is better”. Those hired in from outside typically make more than those who have been here for years. Culture has never been great here, but there are constant claims of “improvements in progress”. Most of these improvements will go no where because unless executives are willing to embrace that culture, it will not carry down.
