Pros
- Very Smart people - Fun and friendly environment - Lots of learning potential - Potential to create your own niche, area of expertise, and client base - Management is very open and receptive to new ideas - Became a foundational experience for the rest of my career - Work is rewarding when you place a candidate who is great for (or really needs) the job -- can change people's lives - Pay is good, and management rewards high performers with promotions and raises o Potential for high earnings, if you place candidates consistently - If interested in recruiting, could not recommend more highly
Cons
- Less to do with the company and more the nature of the work: o Recruiting is hard work, it can be stressful and time consuming -- but you know that already o Candidates can be flaky, but it's up to you to screen and choose them - You will most likely make commission on top of a base salary (industry standard, nothing new here) -- which means you will have unlimited earning potential... but also the potential for dry spells
