Pros
- positive culture
- everyone contributes and offer good feedback on work
- management is experienced, organized, and transparent
- company is still a startup, so you get to make meaningful contributions in multiple areas
- remote friendly
- desirable product (it's fun to work on something people really want!)
Cons
I love startup life so I don't really have any cons, but here are some potentials for other people:
- startup means that systems can still be in flux...things are prone to change quickly as we find the best way to do them
- unless you're in Calgary, periodic travel is a must (we have team meetings in Calgary every few months)
- you must be able to work independently as we are busy so close supervision isn't usually an option
