Boys' club, avoid - Anonymous employee FreeAgent Employee Review

Pros

The longer serving hires still represented a human approach so there was a baseline of good values left over from the pre-aquisition times.

Cons

Hard work doesn't get rewarded and performance conversations are fudged in "calibration" despite demonstrated results and competencies. At the same time, it's very clearly a bit of a boys' club: there's a certain well recognisable personality type (young cocky male), who tends to soar through the ranks and succeed.

Pros

I couldn't be happier with my experience applying to FreeAgent! The process was incredibly fast, I received my verbal offer just two weeks after applying, and the recruitment team was wonderful. They were so communicative, making sure I always knew exactly what to expect. The steps were well-structured: a phone screen interview, a written assessment testing key job skills, and a really welcoming competency interview with various members of the team. I felt supported at every turn. Beyond the great experience, the offer itself was very competitive, and the benefits package is seriously impressive. If you're considering applying to FreeAgent, I highly, highly recommend it!

Cons

I have no cons to offer, as the entire recruitment journey was truly supportive, smooth, and professionally lead by the Talent team.

Pros

Welcoming environment, lots of engagement activities, well organised.

Cons

Hybrid working means sometimes you are only interacting with some of your team.
