Pros

Casual dress code, free food on occasion, excellent benefits - low cost, great coverage.

Cons

Weak leadership, nepotism at the highest levels (office managing partners and with members of the executive team), Office of General Counsel attorneys are a joke -- impossible for HR to reach for advice on client and employee issues, HR leadership uses hashtag #bestplacetowork on social media when the firm has never won a single "Best Place to Work" award, tons of turnover from burnout, lack of training, and lack of skilled managers. You also have to have about 10 different usernames and passwords for various systems. Nothing is streamlined. The "One Firm" approach is complete BS - every office is run differently and the rollout of the firm's core values several months ago were nothing but a flash in the pan. Until leadership buys into the One Firm approach and the core values, especially the one about respecting colleagues, the turnover will remain high and Fragomen can forget being a #bestplacetowork.

Pros

Decent overtime pay. I also had a decent training/onboarding experience, but this was not the norm.

Cons

Exploitative, 80+ hour work weeks, 2am messages from attorneys, burn-out model for paralegals and associates (scoop them up after BA or JD and overwork them until they quit), misrepresent case load during interview by 50% of total, low ceiling for non-attorney career advancement. Have an exit plan.
