Pros
A decade ago it would have been easy to list many, but as is often the case, time and change in management have not been kind to this once prestigious institution. There are still fine individuals working at FCCC, but many of the best either already have or are actively looking to depart. Consequently, Philadelphia cancer care has improved at other locations as it has slipped at FCCC (and perhaps it shouldn't amaze anyone that it coincides with the mass migration of their physicians, employees, and support staff).
Cons
Low pay, low morale, and across the board reliance on the "Peter principle" at the top-level positions has been the order of the day since Bob Young stepped down as CEO nearly a decade ago. Since that time every major department head has departed, along with the veteran leadership that you would have expected to replace them. Then the nail in the coffin: acquired by Temple.
