Hi there, We take each and every review seriously. I reached out directly to Dan Simons to share your feedback. He would be thrilled to connect directly and passed along this message: I’m so sorry. I am sorry you feel this way, sorry the experience working with us was so bad, and sorry we made you so angry and upset. I respect your feelings, and if you feel like my words were just “noise”, then for you, that’s your truth. But for me, the words were true. I care about our team, I appreciate the hard work, and no doubt restaurant openings can at times be incredibly difficult and chaotic. I was in the restaurant yesterday, and I still see a lot of familiar faces of employees I trust, respect and appreciate. The good news is that our team is great at running restaurants—which includes sometimes struggling and have to the right the ship--and we try and stick together, work through the crazy periods, and get to the stability everyone wants in a work environment. As I said in person, I’m always available to talk, and I’m easy to reach. If you just wanted to vent your frustrations online, so be it, I get it. If you want to talk and give me insights, I’m all ears. Happy to treat you to lunch and ensure I see things through your eyes. That’s how we learn and grow. There’s no copy and paste with me. Ever. We are real people, working together as a small company, to try and run great restaurants. Certainly we struggle, but we also show we win long term, and hundreds and hundreds of long-term satisfied employees are the evidence…it isn’t my words, it’s the facts. It’s also clear to me that we failed you during your time with us. As for the other comments about us stealing and the other allegations, clearly that’s simply false, I would never sanction such things.
