Pros

The people are one of the main reasons I love Fortis. I have never worked for a company with such a solid culture and collaborative mindset. I truly feel like I can approach anyone - whether it's someone at a branch or someone on the executive team - with questions and they will help without making me feel like I'm bothering them. Whether we are all together at a more social event or happy hour - or working on a client deadline, I love being a part of the team. We have quarterly meetings with the entire company that allow everyone to come together and learn about new hires/promotions/give shout outs + it gives you the chance to hear from each of the leaders and really understand how the company is doing as a whole - and where they see things going. Fortis is the absolute best at recognizing good people and strong work ethic. While everyone here is pretty like minded - if you are willing to put in that extra work and go above and beyond, it is noticed and you will be rewarded. I love that Fortis focuses on creating a strong in office environment and culture - I appreciate seeing my co-workers on a day to day basis and being able to actually walk over to someone's desk and ask questions. However, they also recognize that working from home is needed sometimes too. They allow their managers to create a schedule that works well for the team. Overall great benefits - and they are always open to feedback and improvements in this area. My feedback one year resulted in a direct change in the benefits, which is impressive.

Cons

I do think there are times where people feel overwhelmed - but I think that happens at any smaller company that's growing. You have to have the right mindset to be successful here. The interview process is designed to find the right people - it can be a lot, but it makes sense once you are here and a part of the team.

Cons

Hours can be long, but they pay well and you get to be involved in interesting things.
