Pros

Culture is generally positive, in-line with a typical startup. The service offering is attractive to first time clients/users. Fun atmosphere.

Cons

Lots of false promises and embellishment by senior management about the successes of the company. Employees are lead to believe that the company is operating at an insanely successful level and generating revenue amounts that simply aren’t happening. The CEO is simple minded and not open to any suggestions or negative feedback from clients, despite him saying he is. If the client doesn’t like something, the client is wrong or doesn’t “get it”. You simply can not operate that way.

Pros

Amazing startup culture in Lexington, a challenging environment that pushes you to grow, daily lunch (I gained the"Fooji five" working there - the food rocks), nice perks, creative freedom encouraged, exciting growth that motivates you, an inside look into what it takes to start a business, great leaders to learn from within the organization. You really learn how to be a team player here. When you put in the extra work, everyone grows. As mentioned above, the leadership within the organization is motivating. The head of operations is one of the most efficient, effective workers I have ever encountered. The head of product management is the best product manager I have ever seen. Brand strategy is headed up by a fun-loving creative genius. Human resources seriously creates a safe place to be open when you need help. Even the engineering team is fun and very good. The talent truly speaks for itself. Also, dogs are allowed at work, and that seriously brings so much joy into the day.

Cons

Like any startup, there are growing pains! There are frustrating times, but you just need to go in with the mentality that growing pains = growth.

Pros

The pay was amazing. Majority of the people are nice and welcoming. It's cool office space located in downtown Lexington. This seemed to be the dream job I'd been looking for, for a very long time, but beige quickly started popping up before I was ultimately caught off guard.

Cons

Work life balance is terrible. So many employees (in various departments) work crazy hours, and it's expected. My onboarding/training was rushed and almost non-existent, which made it hard to succeed and meet expectations. Favoritism is clear and frustrating. Management's expectations are way too high when considering their transparency and communication is poor and training doesn't properly set you up for success.
