Pros

I've been with the company for a few years and I have always been proud to be part of a team that actually cares about their customers. Every company struggles at some point with any of these: staff, finances, tech, innovation etc. But at Food Service Direct, headwinds aside, we never stopped paying attention to what our customers had to say.. As a marketer, this is the kind of environment you want to be in, where your actions have direct impact onto the experience of your customers. The team I work with is great, full of flexible team members who put on many hats to get us where we need. The culture is great, it's a friendly environment where everyone can speak up and I value that immensely (since some past employers of mine haven't been respectable at all).

Cons

Not all team members cared the same amount about their work, same as any company you could ever join. The ones who did however, were rewarded, which is not always the case and makes you feel valued when putting in more efforts!

Pros

I love working at Food Service Direct. The people are great and the company is set up to make decisions & move quickly in order to grow exponentially. Employees are encouraged to have an entrepreneurial mindset and contribute ideas on how to grow the business. It's fast-paced, there's opportunity for growth, and employees are treated well.

Cons

None I can think of!

Pros

Since this was a remote position, I had a fairly flexible schedule. This is not to say that I could sit around and do nothing all day. That wasn't the case but as long as I got projects done on time and was present for required meetings, the job wasn't stressful. I was not overworked or micromanaged. I also worked with a great team of people.

Cons

There was a lack of structure at times. The company often times operated with a "start up" mentality. This meant that a lot things I did in this role was a first for me as a designer and a first for the company. Sometimes projects took way too long to complete and there was a lack of resources. For certain projects I had to be not only a designer but a copywriter as well.
