Pros

Beer, good co-workers, laid-back atmosphere.

Cons

Management is lost, unresponsive, and clearly doesn't know how to effectively run a company. Your concerns don't matter. Highly unprofessional. No one is held accountable for anything, hence the laid back atmosphere. Management would often promise things to customers. These promises would not be followed up on. Customers would then call in wondering why they were being blown off by management. It fell on the lowly tech support team to then deal with this. Pay is way below standard. Passive aggressive management. This place is going nowhere fast.

During the 4 years since you left, FluentStream has completely transformed from a bootstrapped start-up to a professional, high-growth company with a reputation for taking care of its employees and customers. We have worked hard to establish a sustainable company & culture that our Streamers (employees) are proud of. Here are some specific ways we have evolved since your time with us: - New company ownership, and every current employee receives equity. - New leadership across all departments of the company, including technology and human resources. The prior leader(s) you reference are no longer with us. - New technology, culture and process including standards for code reviews, completion, documentation, maintenance and security. - New compensation and benefits packages that are nationally-competitive. - Increased focus on diversity and inclusion. Today nearly half our workforce and senior leadership are women. - Fully-remote workforce, with employees all over the U.S. In no way does our evolution excuse the negative experiences you had during your time with FluentStream 4 years ago, but we hope our response helps current and prospective Streamers understand what FluentStream is like today. It's truly rewarding to hear that you feel we're making impactful changes and are investing appropriately for long-term success. Your belief in the company and our CEO means a great deal to us. We also appreciate your candid feedback regarding compensation and 401k contributions, as it helps us understand our team's perspectives. Regarding the 401k match, while we're not currently in a position to offer this we've been proud to implement profit sharing contributions for the past couple of years. This is another way we aim to share our successes with the team and provide a meaningful investment in your financial future.
