Pros
You get free meals while training
Cons
I want to be clear - I'm not some disgruntled ex-employee that got fired. I'm an average worker giving my honest opinion. 1. The training is fast and furious. I got thrown on the floor too quickly I felt. 2. People are always talking bad about each other. Managers included. 3. My biggest complaint of all - and this is something they don't mention in the hiring process - is that your shift doesn't have an end time! They may tell you that a typical shift is six or seven hours, but in reality, you can easily get stuck there for ten hours. I have many obligations outside of work and cannot operate on a random schedule like that. This was ultimately the reason I left. 4. Oh yeah, the pay is pretty bad. You get paid 2.13 an hour and have to split your tips with the food runners, bartenders, drink expos, and other servers. When it's all said and done, you'll probably average eight dollars an hour, which is terrible considering the hustle that is required.
