Pros

- Everyone is very welcoming and you can tell there is a close-knit community - My direct manager was very nurturing and I had a great relationship with the core members of my team - They send you all the necessary things to work from home (computer, desk, chair, etc) - Fully remote! I worked in pajamas most of the time

Cons

- This company laid off a 3rd of the workforce in April, 2022, immediately and WITHOUT any prior notice - Starting pay is always 50k, no matter what position you start in. Since the company is small, there aren't guarantees that you will get a yearly raise despite that being written in your employment contract - Beware of "we are family" companies; this company is the essence of nepotism where mostly everyone who gets hired is a friend or relative of an existing employee. This makes it hard to connect with people or take professional skills seriously - They place more importance on the sales people than other departments - Major outsourcing from other countries so they can pay them less - Upper management is definitely drinking the Silicon Valley tech kool-aid and it is poisoning the well - I don't believe that they believed in their mission

Pros

4 day work week Unlimited PTO Flexible schedule

Cons

Transfer delays with customer's money. They advertise up to 10 business days but people were waiting months for money they earned. Employees getting harassed on social media pages and threatened to be sued. No guidance on how or what to say other than "we know its an issue and we're working on it". Customers would have to threaten to sue or request their funds up to 5 or 6 times before getting help. Multiple layoffs with no notice in a matter of a couple of years. Family relationships throughout the company.
